Pupkewitz Megatech is proud to announce its support towards the growth and development of Alex Miller, an 18-year-old Namibian cyclist. Pupkewitz Megatech have committed to sponsoring Alex’s training and races.

Alex is a two-time continental junior title holder, and the Pupkewitz Megabuild Namibia National Cycling Champion as well as the Nedbank National Marathon Mountain Bike Champion. Earlier this year, he finished third in the Elite Men’s category at the African Mountain Bike Championships in Windhoek.

He has been riding a bike since the age of 5, but only developed his passion for racing when he successfully completed the Klein Aus Vista MTB Challenge in 2015, which he describes as his favourite marathon race in Namibia.
Asked about which cycling event has been the highlight of his career so far; “It’s difficult to mark one event as the highlight of my cycling career. For me, going to amazing places like the Bahamas or Switzerland is awesome, but each new place I visit is unique and special in its own beautiful way. But ok, World Champs 2018 in Lenzerheide and the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas do stand out a very little bit😅,” says Alex.
Earlier this month, Alex left for Switzerland for training and racing, upon an invite from the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The UCI is the worldwide governing body for cycling, which develops and oversees cycling in all its forms for all people. His first race will start on 16 June 2019. He is expected to complete his programme and return to Windhoek in August 2019.
